Every 2 weeks we roll through the lush, isolated, surf-soaked town of ?? with our travel trips and Costa Rica surf camps. We spend 4 days in this magnificent place on every trip, enjoying the surf and scenery of this surreal part of Costa Rica. While we are here, we like to give back to the community by organizing a beach cleanup in collaboration with the Surfrider Foundation. It is very sad to see plastic bottles and other trash littering such a breathtaking beach, so it gives everybody great pleasure to do their part and clean up the beach.

The locals usually join us and help out as well, so we normally have about 30 people scouring the beach for litter and enjoying a cold beverage and some delicious BBQ fresh fish which our guides prepare. Earlier that day the guides buy the catch of the day straight off the fishermen, usually fresh mahi-mahi, tuna, or snapper. While we cook the fish we also toss a bunch of Reef gear to the group as a way of thanking everybody.

After the BBQ, we get the fire raging, the stars come out and we spend some time sharing stories, which are aplenty during our action-packed Costa Rica adventure travel. Costa Rica is good to us, and the Beach Travellers love returning the favour and giving back to a place that has given us so much.
