Just a heads up - starting March 31st, BT's 24 & 36 day Thailand trips will be increasing by $200. Inflation is a big reality in Thailand right now, so local costs such as hotels, transportation, activities, and body paint have increased. To ensure we continue to deliver the best possible experience with no compromise, we had to bump our numbers up ever so slightly. We believe in honesty, so in typical BT fashion, we're telling you upfront.

These new prices only go into effect on March 31st, so you still have a month to sign up at last year's price. So, if you're on the fence, it's time to plant your feet down on the good side, in the sand. As always, we'll hold onto all new reservations for 1 week with no deposit. That's just enough time to pack your bag, find your passport, and head to the airport.

Surf's up this summer. Surf coaching that is... in Costa Rica.. BT is currently on the lookout for new recruits to join our team of surf coaches and travel guides in Costa Rica.

Our surf camps have been increasing in popularity, so to meet the high demand for these trips.. we're hiring more staff, aka more family.

If you know & love Costa Rica's waves, have previous surf coaching experience (requirement), can "parlez-vous Français'', and are down with delivering top quality BT experiences ... You should consider applying.

With a coach.

BT has thrown me on another continent again, and it’s hard not to pinch myself as I stare down at a beach 500 meters below from the mouth of an ancient cave. Or when I wrassle1500 pound elephants in the water with a group of young adventurous travellers.

With a local's help, this elephant gets the wet t-shirt contest going.

Where does reality set in over here? The endless days of boat trips, sunsets, swimming and hiking blend together in surrealistic bliss.

The guy in the water definitely just went for an ocean pee.

Is that a real tattoo?

A moment of grounding occurs for all of us as we visit a Thai orphanage. What seemed like an eternity of laughter and sharing in fun and games reminds us of a common human existence that transcends language and culture.

Although getting whipped in soccer by 7 year olds isn’t the best feeling in the world, these kids are humble and give us a hearty goodbye as we hit the road again.

Back to la la land, on board our floating home in the middle of mountains, jungle and blue skies.  Some tranquility in the midst of so much activity.

Serenading the lake..

As the end of the trip nears, it's sad "see ya laters" as always. Glad to be planted in the land of smiles for the next few months.. I can get used to this place. Until next time friends.
