What's a typical Beach Travellers day like in Costa Rica?

Well, yesterday was a pretty good example. Woke up at sunrise, strolled down to the ocean, still half asleep, and jumped into the warm waves. What a way to wake up. A few duckdives, a few nice turns on some clean head high waves, then back to the hotel for some delicious coffee and rice & beans with eggs, the traditional breakfast dish.

After breakfast most of the crew took off on ATVs to explore the jungles and coastlines of the area. A few of us stayed behind because we had signed up for a morning of deep sea fishing, and by 9 am we were 25 miles off the coast, reeling in a 7 pound mahi-mahi. 3 hours later and we were back on the beach with 2 fresh yellowfin tunas and 1 mahi, plenty of fish to feed the entire group.

Just before sunset we all headed up the hill to a little secret spot: an infinity pool perched on the mountainside overlooking the ocean with a swim-up bar, the absolute best place to share a few drinks and laughs while watching the sunset . After that we rolled back to the hotel to enjoy our catch of the day: sashimi and fish tacos, and then ended the day with a beach fire, gazing at the stars. A pretty amazing day overall.
