PORK! Not just any old pork. This is the most mouth-watering, tender, juicy, artery clogging meat I've ever had in my life! And you can't just get it anywhere. In fact we are really lucky that we were ever introduced to this place. After a great morning of white water rafting in Costa Rica our rafting guides decided to show us a hidden gem, so they brought us to this little hut way off the beaten path, tucked deep in the middle of a massive palm tree plantation, a place only the locals know about. With only two things on the menu, you know it's gotta be good. This little old Costa Rican man prepares our meal of Yuka and Pork, slow roasted and smoked over an open fire. The meat is then cut up into chunks and placed on a couple of communal plates for everyone to eat off. No utensils or condiments required, just a whole lot of freshly squeezed lime.

You can't tell the difference between meat and fat, it all just melts in your mouth leaving you craving more. So salty and satisfying, it's enough to turn someone who doesn't eat pig into a pork lover. Once the adrenaline has stopped pumping through your veins after rafting, there is no better way to finish the trip than with some ice cold beers and delicious PORK!
